Brian Thompson is the Founder of Marker Investments and leads the firm's real estate activities, including acquisitions, asset management, and dispositions. With over 22 years of experience investing in student housing, his career includes roles at some of the US's most active and respected student housing investment firms.

Before forming Marker in 2020, Brian was Executive Vice President of Investments at CA Ventures ("CA"), where he led the firm's acquisition and development efforts. Before joining CA, Brian spent nine years leading the education investment business for Harrison Street Real Estate Capital ("HSRE"). Before HSRE, he spent six years as an analyst at GMH Communities Trust ("GMH") underwriting investment opportunities and university markets. Across his career, he has participated in the sourcing, acquisition, development, and financing of over $12 billion of student housing properties.

In 2013 he was named one of 12 national "Student Housing Pioneers" by Globe Street. He is a member of the ULI Student Housing Council, the National Multifamily Housing Council's Student Housing Committee, their Research Council, and a regular speaker at industry events.

Robert Myers is a Vice President responsible for creating and deploying all operational systems throughout the company.

With more than 22 years of experience in student housing, Robert has achieved at all levels of Operations, including General Manager of 2500+ beds for Asset Campus Housing, Regional Manager for the Collier Companies, and Director of Student Housing for Demetree Global. He has succeeded in rebranding and rehabilitating troubled assets, building teams that work, and perfecting systems at every level.

Xu Wu manages Twin Pagoda LLC, a Chicago-based family office representing one of the founders of Garmin Ltd. (GRMN).

Twin Pagoda allocates capital across diverse asset classes include real estate, private equity, and private debt, through independent sponsors, co-investments, and partnerships. Xu is a Kelley School of Business graduate at Indiana University – Bloomington, IN, and has completed the Chartered Financial Analyst program.
