Joseph Wilson

Facilities Director

Joseph Wilson, a Facilities Director with 18 years of experience at Gold Oller, Millennium Management, and Goldberg Companies, excels in maintenance, legal compliance, and property management. With a background in budgeting and a proven track record, Joseph ensures cost-effective, safe, and efficient facility operations.

His leadership and industry expertise guarantee optimal facility functionality, creating superior work environments. Joseph is a trusted professional in the field, dedicated to delivering top-notch facilities and property management services.

Trey Unger

Vice President, Asset Management

Trey Unger is a Vice President and leads Marker’s asset management platform.With 12 years of experience in real estate acquisitions and asset management, including 6 in the student housing space, Trey brings a deep knowledge of process-building, value-add execution, and overall maximization of returns. Before joining Marker, Trey held senior roles at Fairstead and Akelius Real Estate Management and previously developed a deep knowledge of the student housing space as an Investments Associate at Campus Apartments.

Brian Thompson

Founder

Brian is the Founder of Marker Investments and leads the firm’s real estate activities. With over 22 years’ experience in student housing, his career includes roles at some of the most active and respected investment firms in the US. Across his career he has participated in the structuring, acquisition, and development of over $13 billion of student housing real estate.  

Before forming Marker in 2020, he spent 9 years leading the Education investment platform for Harrison Street Real Estate Capital. He also held roles at CA Ventures, Core Spaces, and GMH Communities, where he began his career as an analyst.

In 2013 Globe Street named him one of 12 national “Student Housing Pioneers”. He is a member of ULI’s Student Housing Council, NMHC’s Student Housing Committee, their Research Council, and a regular speaker at industry events.

Jessica Noles

Director of Operations

Jessica is the Director of Operations at Marker Investments, where she has been instrumental in creating systems and building teams.

Before joining Marker, Jessica spent 10 years at Asset Living, where she held various roles on-site as well as being involved in the on-boarding of the acquisition of sites nationwide. Jessica is passionate about the growth and development of future industry leaders. She is committed to driving Marker forward through training, systems, and developing company culture. With her extensive experience, Jessica is well-equipped to lead Marker to continued success.

Robert Myers

Vice President

Robert Myers is a Vice President and leads Marker's property management platform- creating and deploying all operational systems throughout the company.

With 24 years of experience in student housing, Robert has achieved at all levels of Operations, including General Manager of 2,500+ beds for Asset Campus Housing, Regional Manager for the Collier Companies, and Director of Student Housing for Demetree Global. He has succeeded in rebranding and rehabilitating troubled assets, building teams that work, and perfecting systems at every level.

Megan Knott

Vice President, Controller

Megan Knott is a Vice President and leads Marker’s accounting operations for the properties and corporate-level entities.

With 25 years of experience in accounting procedures, financial reporting, treasury management, internal controls, budgeting and strategic planning Megan has succeeded in helping businesses thrive. Megan began her career at Ernst & Young in the Audit practice where she earned her CPA. She went on to serve in leadership positions for small to large companies includingCarlyle, UPMC, Newmark, and Diversified Search Group.

Human Resources Coordinator

Sydney Granville is and HR Coordinator at Marker. She is passionate about supporting this fast-growing company by finding innovative ways to advise, coach, and develop strategy. Here at Marker, we consider our employees our greatest asset. Dustin is Marker's Director of Technology focused on improving systems and automating time intensive tasks, often improving both the speed and quality of a system.

Before joining Marker, Dustin spent 3 years in real estate and financial services, where he gained valuable experience in data analysis, marketing, and leadership. Dustin is passionate about leveraging automation and data to create value and is committed to driving Marker forward by building systems crucial to data-driven decisions.

Sara Crisafulli

Director of Office Operations

Sara is the Director of Office Operations. She oversees organization of systems across our various office locations, human resource management, and culture-strengthening initiatives.    

With over 17 years of office and project management experience, Sara has learned invaluable operational and communication skills while working on teams in varying industries. Her experience in construction, real estate, and executive assisting has instilled a dynamic knowledgebase that allows her to understand and assist with needs across all of our departments.

Tori Akers

Operations Specialist

Tori Akers, Marker's Operations Specialist, brings over 15 years of student housing experience, having worked with American Campus Communities and Asset Campus Housing throughout her career.

Her proficiency, notably in accounts receivable management, consistently maintained delinquency rates below 1%. As a previous member of an onsite management team of 8 overseeing 2,500+ beds, Tori’s expertise positions her as an asset in delivering efficient solutions to complex property management challenges while boosting resident retention.
